A free standing mosaic of cut and carved semi precious stones with abalone accents 5" x 6" made in southern Mexico. The mesoamerican people made masks for different rituals and for different gods. The death masks had open mouths and were placed on the faces of dead nobles. This is a relatively new mask but represents an historical view of a very dynamic kingdom.
