The Mothership Alumni has partnered with the family of  Andy "Wake Self" Martinez to offer free studio time to talented musicians to make quality recordings for their community. Wake Self was a hip hop MC from Albuquerque, New Mexico who's life was taken last year by a drunk driver. Through the generosity of the Martinez family, they've let us use Wake's personal recording equipment to start a new recording studio.
   In honor of the first annual Wake Self Day we will choose 20 applicants to receive 2 free hours of studio time including mixing and mastering, and a photoshoot at The Mothership Alumni Studios in the heart of downtown Albuquerque, 105 4th St SW. Winners will be chosen based on their talent, and their vision for using the awarded time to its fullest value.
